1. Which CPAP machines does the ES270 work with?
Four DC cables in the box cover the ResMed AirSense 10 and 11, AirCurve 10 and 11, AirMini, Philips DreamStation and DreamStation 2, and Luna TravelPAP. The Luna G3, Transcend Micro and Prisma need the ESG3, ESMC or ESPR cable, sold separately. Have a ResMed S9 or another machine? Email support@easylonger.com and we'll tell you which cable you need.
2. How long does it run a CPAP?
About one night on a travel machine like the AirMini or Luna TravelPAP, with the humidifier and heated tube off. Home machines like the AirSense 11 use more power, so expect fewer hours. The runtime calculator can estimate your settings.
3. Can I take it on a plane?
99.9Wh is under the FAA's 100Wh limit for spare batteries, so U.S. rules don't require airline approval. Keep it in your carry-on. Some airlines, mostly outside the U.S., set stricter limits, so check yours if you're flying one.
4. Can it power two CPAP machines at once?
No. The ES270 powers one CPAP at a time.
5. How do I recharge it?
Wall outlet: the 60W USB-C charger in the box, about 2 hours. DC input: a 12–24V source up to 72W, with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug. In the car: plug a USB-C car charger (up to 60W) into your car's 12V socket and connect it to the battery's USB-C port. Solar: a panel of 60W or more into the DC input. Keep the panel voltage at 24V or below. Charging time depends on the sun.
6. How do I connect it to my CPAP?
First find your CPAP's voltage on the label of its power adapter. Philips machines use 12V, the Luna TravelPAP (BMC M1 Mini) uses 19V and ResMed machines use 24V. Press and hold the V button for about 3 seconds, until the screen flashes 12V. Press again to step through 19V and 24V. Stop on your machine's voltage, and it locks in after about 4 seconds. Then plug in the DC cable for your machine. The battery remembers the voltage for next time.
7. Will it work with a ResMed AirSense 10?
Yes. Use the AirSense 10 cable from the box and set the output to 24V. At 8.4W (6 cmH2O with the humidifier and heated tube off), that's about one 8-hour night. Higher pressure means fewer hours.
8. Does it have a car socket?
No. If you want to use a car-socket cable, choose the ES400 AIR or a larger battery.
9. Can I use it while it's charging?
Yes. Charge through the DC input and run your CPAP from the DC output. The battery charges while it powers your CPAP.
10. How do I turn it off?
Press and hold the V button for about 3 seconds to leave the fixed-voltage mode. The screen turns off by itself after 5 minutes.
11. What warranty do I get?
Five years on batteries ordered from easylonger.com. Bought from another seller? You get three years, and registering with us extends it to five.
