The DC cables in the box are about 3 ft long. This one reaches 8.5 ft and plugs into a car socket, so the battery can stay on the floor, in the tent vestibule or in the car.

Connected in three steps.

  1. Use the car socket.

    Plugs into the 12V car socket on ES400 AIR, ES720 and ES960 models, or your car. The ES270 has no car socket.

  2. Connect the cable.

    Car-socket end into the socket, CPAP end into your machine's power port.

  3. Turn on your CPAP.

    Check the cable and the voltage against your CPAP's power adapter label.

Accomplishes the job of powering your Airmini from any car lighter perfectly, no assembly needed

I love my ResMed AirMini for travel - but using it in a car has always seemed troublesome due to the need to put an AC/DC convertor into the mix to go from the cigarette lighter to the very odd connector the CPAP uses. This power cord eliminates that issue almost completely.

Arrived in a solid cardboard container packed in a form-fitting plastic insert which holds it perfectly. No assembly required and no parts to get lost. Just plug the cigarette lighter insert into your car and plug the other end into your AirMini (or Airsense 11, which i also have). The CPAP pops right on and is fully functional.

I experimented with it on a drive from South Carolina to Northern VA one summer evening and found that it was a great way to catch some shuteye in the back seat without having to use a CPAP battery with limited lifespan. After running 6 hours, the power cord converter box was still cool to the touch - no heating up or any other issues. My companion definitely approved (of the lack of snoring).

Overall, this cord does everything right. It is long enough to reach around the back or front seats of the car to any seat, but not so long that it turns into a wire-spaghetti nightmare when you try to store it. Which gets me to the ONE thing I would have loved to see added to the product - a small carrying case to keep the wires neatly contained. I didn't knock off a star for that because otherwise the product rocks - but sense it will probably end up in the trunk or stored in a seat pocket, a simple case to keep it contained would be great. I reused one from an old mini tripod to accomplish this.

This is a great product that is easy to use, works perfectly and requires so setup or assembly. Highly recommended!

Compatible with, but underpowered for AirCurve 11

We travel in our RV with my BiPap device, an AirCurve 11 but even at the best campgrounds 110 AC power can be unreliable. On several occasions we lost power during the night on the evening before I needed to drive 10 hours the next day which could have resulted in a dangerously sleep deprived situation. As such I’ve always brought a Jackery box as an emergency backup which, especially if you turn off the humidifier, will provide an entire night of power for the CPAP but it’s a lot of extra weight to carry.
Our RV has a 12v battery and solar panels on the roof and a 12v outlet in our bedroom. This is a great solution as if we lose 110v AC power I can power our CPAP from that outlet using the RV’s own batteries. The cord is long enough to reach from the outlet to where my CPAP is positioned, and powered up right away. While it says that this device is compatible with the AirCurve 11 you should be aware that it only provides 65W of power, while the AirCurve 11’s power supply delivers 90W. Will it work? Mostly yes, but you will receive an error message on the screen that the 65W power supply may reduce the effectiveness of the humidifier. The BiPap functionality doesn’t seem compromised and when I’m running on batteries I usually turn off the humidifier anyway to extend the battery life so this really isn’t an issue for me.
The device itself is nicely made with strong, thick cables and a good quality “cigarette lighter” plug. I really like how the power supply has a blue light that confirms it is receiving 12v DC power, but if you’re sensitive to light in your bedroom you might want to put a piece of electrical tape over it or simply turn the transformer upside down so the light is hidden.
This could also work with my Jackery box; since you lose some of the capacity when using it’s integrated 110v inverter I expect that plugging this in to the 12V outlet I may get longer battery life using this instead of the original AC adapter.

Great Power Cord Adapter for CPAP

Great way to get your sleep while on the road or camping.

This adapter is a very practical way to keep a CPAP running when traveling or when AC power is not readily available.

It is smaller and more efficient that using a DC to AC converter when car camping, road trips or using with backup-power during unexpected outages.

It is compact, easy to carry, and adds a lot of flexibility to a travel kit without taking up much space so you can get a solid night’s sleep even when you are away from a wall outlet.

Simple, useful, and a much more economical option than the brand name adapter.

It works great, but the photo is misleading

Everything about this charger is great, but the description costs the five-star rating. Super easy to use, ultra-portable, works with the Resmed Airsense 11 and Aircurve 11 without any issues, but this is NOT 90W (which is required to run the humidifier). Since this is only a 65W supply, the humidifier and climate control options on the machines may be disabled (both were for me). You can run the machine with water in a pinch, and you'll get some humidity from the natural evaporation, but it won't be anywhere near close for anyone who depends on rainforest-like conditions to keep their oral health. Very nicely priced, but I was disappointed when I opened the box and it says 65W since I already had a 65W and that's how I found out that I needed a 90W adapter to run the machine with the settings that are needed. There are alternatives in the market such as the humidity filters, but that's another issue altogether as you have to use adapters or the most common F20 to make this setup work.
